“A Weekend of Art & Surf” with renowned Waterman and Wave Muralist Hilton Alves at Surf Line Hawaii Waikiki.
Hilton Alves will be painting ocean-themed pieces in-store, and will also be putting the finishing touches on an original piece painted on a surfboard provided by Firewire. This piece will be donated to Make-A-Wish® Hawaii’s Wish! In the Wild West Gala on May 5th at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina.
“Art and Surf have always been our company’s passion, so it was only natural for us to partner with Hilton Alves for this event. Over the years, Hilton has created murals all over the islands and the world, each unique yet colorful in its own way,” said Lei Rowan, Retail Marketing Director. “What better way to kick off the Summer then with an in-store event with Hilton Alves and feature a one-of-a-kind surfboard painting that will be auctioned off at the Make-A-Wish Hawaii gala that evening.”
“It is so great to see a Hawaii Company in business for over 50 years continue to make their products here in Hawaii and support not only our community of young artists and surfers, but other Hawaii charities like Make-A-Wish Hawaii. When Pua Rochlen, Surf Line Hawaii CEO, asked me to do a painting for the auction on a surfboard it was a perfect fit” said Hilton Alves. “Surf Line Hawaii has always been a supporter of my art and programs. When I saw the new Surf Line Hawaii store and its beautiful space, I just had to make this event happen with them. As you know I love all my Jams World shirts you see me in at various events,” said Alves.
“A Weekend of Art & Surf” with renowned wave muralist and waterman Hilton Alves will be held at the Surf Line Hawaii store at the International Market Place in Waikiki on May 5 and 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. He will also be available for pictures and autographs. You can browse selected pieces from his studio, which will be available for purchase during this two-day event.
